1980 Apr. Dr. Kenkichi Ohba arrived at associate professor of second department of mechanical engineering, faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ. from research associate of faculty of engineering, Osaka Univ. Fluid engineering laboratory was established by him together with associate professor Yoshitomo Shimanaka.
1982 Apr. Mr. Atsushi Sakurai was employed as research associate in our laboratory.
1985 Mar. Associate professor Shimanaka retired faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ.
1986 Apr. Dr. Hiroshi Maeda arrived at professor of second department of mechanical engineering, faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ. after retiring professor of faculty of engineering, Kyoto Univ.
1988 Apr. Associate professor Ohba promoted to professor of faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ.
Apr. Associate professor C.P.Tso stayed in our laboratory for one month as foreign invited researcher from Malaya Univ., Malaysia (Currently Associate professor of Nanyan Univ., Singapore ).
1989 Apr. Professor Ohba stayed and researched at Imperial Collage, UK and Harwell Laboratory until Mar.1990.
1991 Jul. 10th multiphase flow symposium of Japanese society of multiphase flow was held at 100 year anniversary hall in Senriyama campus (Vice committee chairman: Prof. Kenkichi Ohba)
Nov. 交換留学生として中国・東北工学院(現:中国・東北大学)より樊世川氏が1年1ヶ月研究室に滞在
1994 Mar. Professor Maeda retired faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ.
Sept. Mr. Kunio Tanaka (Ishikawajima Harima Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.) was awarded doctor of engineering under the chief examiner of Prof. Ohba.
1995 Apr. Dr. Kiyoshi Bando arrived at associate professor of department of mechanical systems engineering, faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ. from associate professor of faculty of engineering, Osaka Univ.
1996 Jul. JSME 7th bio-engineering symposium and summer seminar was held at 100th anniversary seminar house "Kougakukan" in Takatsuki campus (committee chairman : Professor Ohba).
1997 Apr. Name of laboratory was changed from Fluid engineering laboratory to fluid engineering and biomechanics laboratory according to variety of research contents.
Apr. Establishment of HRC (High technology Research Center) of Kansai Univ. was admitted by the Ministry of Education and research of life engineering development project in HRC was started (chief researcher : Prof. Ohba).
Jul. Prof. Dieter Liepsch and his wife stayed at our laboratory for one month as foreign invited researcher from Fachhochschule Munchen, Germany.
Sept. Study and experiment laboratories moved to newly built 5th experiment building of faculty of engineering.
1999 Mar. Mr. Pham Hong Son from Vietnam was awarded doctor of engineering as the first course doctor in our laboratory under the chief examiner of Prof. Ohba.
Mr. Osamu Hiramatsu (lecturer of Kawasaki medical Univ.) was awarded doctor of engineering under the chief examiner of Prof. Ohba.
Mar. Prof. Ohba was awarded an achievement-prize of 7th bio-engineering section from JSME.
Apr. Associate professor Bando promoted to Professor of faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ.
Sept. Research associate Sakurai and Ms. Masako Nakata (National Cardiovascular Center special researcher) were awarded doctors of engineering as thesis doctor under chief examiner of Prof. Ohba.
Nov. Asian Symposium on Multiphase Flow '99 was held by joint sponsorship of Japanese society of multiphase flow and Kansai Univ. at 100th anniversary seminar house "Kougakukan" in Takatsuki campus (committee chairman : Prof. Ohba). Number of presentations is 51 including invited 13 lecturers from 5 Asian countries.
2000 Apr. Research associate Sakurai promoted to lecturer of department of mechanical systems engineering, faculty of engineering, Kansai Univ.
Apr. Fluid engineering and biomechanics laboratory (pre. Fluid engineering laboratory) reached 20th anniversary from establishment.
Aug. Fluid engineering and biomechanics laboratory (pre. Fluid engineering laboratory) held 20th anniversary cerebration.
2001 Apr. Professor Bando stayed and researched at UC Barkry, USA until Sept.2001.
Lecturer Sakurai stayed and researched at Prof. D. Liepsch  LAB., FH-Muenchen, Garmany until Mar.2002. 
2002 Feb.  Prof. Ohba reached end of the traditional sexagenary cycle(60th birthday).
Mar.  Mr. Tadayuki Kamimura and Mr. Tsutomu Tajikawa were awarded doctor of engineering as course doctor in our laboratory under the chief examiner of Prof. Ohba. 
Apr.  Dr. Tajikawa was employed as research associate in our laboratory. 
2003 Apr.  Project of creation of imitated / artificial body tissue and development of new disgnosis and treatment using nano-submicro technology” was selected as the academic frontier promotion project in the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the project was started. The chief researcher of the project is Prof. Ohba, the project period is from 2003 Apr. to 2008 Mar., and the abbreviated name is “Nano-micro medicine-engineering project”.
